Fixed Wire Testing (EICR)
As many of you are now aware, the government have brought in “The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020”.
Ensure we have access to all rooms, the fuseboard, as well as all sockets, switches and accessories.
The length of a test is property and service specific. For example, an EICR can take anywhere from 1.5-4 hours.
As long as we have access to the property/can collect a key, that’s fine.
The power will be off intermittently during the full test.
Contact our bookings team on 01134794790 or [email protected].
It can take up to 72 hours to receive your documents via email. NSI ensures every certificate is passed through our quality control department, then emailed to you via our accounts team.
If you receive an unsatisfactory certificate, this means there are faults within your property that must be rectified.
If the test is unsatisfactory, our engineers will determine the best remedy to make sure your property is safe. Our accounts team will email you a quote alongside your certificate and invoice.
An EICR must be carried out every 5 years.
Visual Inspection Report (VIR), etc.
We are Electrical Testing Specialists, so therefore, callouts are not part of our current services.
It’s unlikely that we will have availability on the same day or the following day. However, we occasionally get a cancellation. We will always take a look to see if we can accommodate your request.
We cover all of England, with some areas of South Wales.
Not yet, but we are a rapidly expanding company and this may be something we consider in the future.
We cover the whole of England.
All of our electricians are directly employed, and consistent testing is achieved due to NSI’s comprehensive in-house training programme.
Yes, we offer remedial work on the back of the testing we do, however, we would not be able to accommodate full rewires.
All our engineers work for us, locally to you.
72 hours is our promise, however, we have been known to have certificates completed and ready in much less time than this!
As many of you are now aware, the government have brought in “The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020”.
Safety in the workplace must be a top priority for all businesses to ensure electrical appliances and equipment are safe to use.
A Visual Inspection Report (VIR) is an in-depth visual inspection of the fuse board and all accessories, such as sockets and switches, to identify any visible signs of defects, damage, or deterioration.
Smoke detectors are life-saving pieces of equipment. It is a legal requirement to have a fully operational fire detection system installed in your property.
