What does PAT Testing involve?
PAT Testing is a simple process undertaken to ensure safety of appliances that can be used in the workplace. Each individual appliance is plugged in to a dedicated testing machine, then resistance and continuity readings are recorded. Providing the appliance passes the test, it will be given a green ticket and can be used as normal.
What does Fixed Wire Testing involve?
Fixed Wire Testing or Electrical Inspection Condition Report is a vital part of any buildings safety. All circuits are tested using a specialised device, and specific readings are taken to ensure all wiring is safe. How fireproof and shockproof the cables are is tested, and dangerous findings are highlighted to ensure correct precautions are put in place. Once the circuits are all deemed as safe, a certificate is issued with specific readings to satisfy insurers.
What does an Emergency Lighting Test involve?
All buildings have a certain amount of Emergency Lighting points in case of emergencies, for example a fire or a power cut. It is imperative that these points all work correctly. We ensure all points are intact, corresponding with each other, safe, and have the required battery back up time incase of a prolonged emergency.
