How do I Get an EICR Certificate?

An EICR test typically will take around 1-4 hours to complete, depending on the size of the property and the number of circuits requiring testing.
We have a 48-hour EICR certificate turnaround! That means you will receive your certificate within 48 hours of completion. This will contain information regarding the overall condition of every electrical installation and fitting in the property and detail the safety of them as well.
It should also include the date on which the next inspection is due by. An EICR is required every 5 years for landlords renting out a property.

What Happens If It Fails?
If your property is found by the electrician to breach any safety standards, these breaches must be remedied by a qualified person within 28 days of receiving the report or within a specified shorter timeframe if deemed necessary by the inspector.
If the remedial work is not sufficient, then this process must be repeated until all electrical safety standards have been sufficiently met.
